Combi, system or regular boiler?
Combi boilers heat water on demand and need no tanks or cylinders, freeing up space. They suit most flats and small to medium homes with one main bathroom.
System boilers work with a hot water cylinder but no loft tanks. They suit homes with more than one bathroom, where hot water is needed in several places at once.
Regular (heat-only) boilers work with a cylinder and cold water tank in the loft. They're common in older properties and can be the right choice where the existing system and water pressure suit them. We'll tell you honestly whether converting is worth it.

What affects the price of a new boiler
The main factors are the boiler type and output, whether the boiler stays in the same position, flue route, whether pipework needs upgrading, whether you are converting system type, and any controls you choose. Because these vary so much between homes, we don't publish an installation price; we survey and give you a free quote on site.
We often recommend a power flush or system clean with a new installation. Sludge from an old system can damage a new boiler, and a clean system is a common manufacturer warranty condition.
